What is the best age to start rhythmic gymnastics? +

We welcome girls as young as 4 years old! Our programs are designed specifically for the beginner ages 4-12. No prior experience in dance or gymnastics is required.

What is the difference between rhythmic gymnastics and artistic gymnastics? +

Unlike artistic gymnastics (bars and beams), rhythmic gymnastics combines sport and dance with ribbons, balls, hoops, and clubs. It’s perfect for kids who love to move to music. At Questo, we offer both recreational dance-sport classes and elite-level training.

How do I sign up for a beginner gymnastics class? +

We invite you to our free trial class! Sign up online and come experience the magic of rhythmic gymnastics with our team of professional coaches. While we are the top-ranked Canadian rhythmic gymnastics club, our recreational streams are open to everyone in the Montreal community!

What should my child wear to her practices? +

For both beginners and competitive athletes, black leggings or shorts with a fitted black t-shirt and white socks are perfect. Hair should be tied back. Questo provides all equipment (ropes, hoops, ribbons) for recreational athletes.

Can I book a free trial class? +

Yes! We want your daughter to fall in love with the sport. Book a free trial class to meet our coaches and let your child try the ribbon and hoop for herself.

How many hours a week does the program require? +

The commitment fits your family goals! Our recreational gymnastics classes meet once per week as a "stress-free" option, perfect for beginners. For the competitive stream , programs range from 2 - 6 days per week, depending on each athlete’s age and skill level.

Who will be teaching my child? +

Our staff includes certified professional coaches, ballet instructors, and former National Team athletes. Questo's expert coaches oversee the curriculum for both competitive and recreational levels. Your child will learn safe, professional techniques from day one.

If my child is in recreational, can she move to the competitive stream? +

Yes! We love watching our athletes grow. We’ve had students start in recreational at age 10 and go on to become Canadian Championship medalists. We hold skills assessments twice a year to identify students ready for the next level.

Where can I buy equipment? +

You can find specialized RG online stores. Always consult with your coach before buying new equipment. Non-specialized equipment from regular fitness stores are not suited for competitive streams.

Does the club operate during the summer? +

Our regular classes follow the school calendar (October-June). However, Questo offers a Summer Camp program: • Questo General Summer Camp: Fun day-camp activities, to learn basic rhythmic gymnastics skills, stay active, and bond with friends. • Questo Competitive Training Camp: High-level training designed for competitive athletes.

Will gymnastics interfere with my child’s school or development? +

Quite the opposite! Our athletes learn discipline and time management that helps them excel in school. Our alumni include National Champions who have moved on to successful careers like medicine, law, engineering, and finance. We believe a strong body builds a strong mind!

Are ballet and dance included in the training? +

Yes! Ballet, dance, and fitness are fundamental to all our programs. Our competitive stream features dedicated ballet classes , while our recreational classes combine fitness, stretching, and dance into one high-energy session.

Will my child get to perform on stage? +

Yes! All gymnasts, from beginners to elites, perform in our annual Questo Shows. These productions have won "Best Sport Event of the Year" in the Montreal community and are a wonderful way to build your child's confidence.
